At the Bentley Hotel, Lincoln and in a packed room, members of the party from around the county gathered to select their candidate to be the next Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire.
Councillors Marc Jones and Andrea Clarke took to the floor to answer questions and explain to members why they should be the Conservative Party Candidate for this high profile position.
Questions were asked on all different policing matters both from a strategic and operational view point. It was clear that the outright winner after these discussions was going to be Cllr Jones. The ballot and unanomous acceptance by the members to take Marc as our candidate finally sealed it.
The Area Chairman Cllr Richard Butroid thanked everyone for attending and Stephen Phillips MP gave an overview of proceedings before we began.
Matt Warman MP finished off proceedings by thanking Douglas Hogg for his excellent chairmanship of the interview process and Cllr Jones closed the meeting with some final words.
Daniel Turner, Association Officer for Louth and Horncastle caught up with Marc after the event to congratulate him. See the video for more.
