The Conservative Party secured a brilliant By-election victory tonight when local candidates Terry Barrs and John Ward were unanimously elected to Chapel St. Leonards Parish Council.
Both candidates who worked extremely hard and ran an excellent campaign were extremely pleased when the full result was called just before 11.00 pm tonight.
In what was a hotly contested election, John and Terry who have both previously served as Parish Councillors but who lost their seats in May, ran a brilliant campaign making sure every house in the Parish was delivered to at least twice meeting many residents along the way.
The By-election caused by the resignation of two Councillors who were elected in May meant that John and Terry were given an opportunity to fight for their seats and once again bring their experience and knowledge back to Chapel St. Leonards Parish Council.
