Sir Peter Tapsell 'the Father of the House' has announced his desicion to stand down as MP for the Louth and Horncastle Constituency in 2015.
His announcement was made to a packed room of party members at the Association's Annual General Meeting where he thanked members for their support and commitment.
Sir Peter, who is also refered to as 'the Father of the House' due to the fact of being the longest serving MP, first being elected in 1959 also spoke about his continuing commitment over the next year till the General Election of 2015 and said that he would continue to fight for his constituency members, especially on flooding.
